What MMarked Is Suitable For
MMarked defines a variant of the Markdown language , inheriting its advantages. It implements an easy-to-read and easy-to-write plain text format for composing mathematical documents.
MMarked's development originated from the writing needs of Mathcrowd challenge Column science popularization articles. Specifically, how to allow authors to focus more on the content of their writing. Separating content and style is a good practice; it allows authors to write without worrying about styling, and avoids distraction from style information, while maintaining a consistent presentation.
Therefore, MMarked might be suitable for the following scenarios:
Online presentation of mathematical and scientific documents.
Mathematical and scientific forums, blogs, or interactive websites that involve online editing of mathematical content.
Writing mathematical and scientific study notes or popular science articles.
What MMarked Is Not Suitable For
Given MMarked's design and some inherited limitations from Markdown, it is not suitable for the following scenarios:
Writing documents with complex formatting requirements
Writing documents with a large number of charts
Writing printed documents that require precise layout control
What MMarked Does Not Handle
MMarked does not handle their styles. You need to use CSS to style them. Of course, you can use our reference styles: Light Style / Dark Style.
MMarked does not provide a code editor/preview client. You need to deploy it on your web site to view the content, or use a plugin to enable preview functionality in code editors or note-taking software.
MMarked is not a website framework. You need to choose a web framework to build your site and then deploy MMarked on your site to render mathematical content pages.
